Cosmetics Quality
Acnova Oy manufactures cosmetics in Finland in line with European Union requirements and documented production controls.
Quality assurance starts with raw materials and continues through formulation, batch production, documentation, safety assessment and final release.
Production quality control
Our cosmetics production includes practical quality procedures for every batch and every formula.
- pH measurement and control for each batch
- retained samples stored for every produced batch
- production documentation for each formula
- internal checks against declared product characteristics
Mixers, homogenizers and production equipment are CE certified and operated according to European machinery safety standards.
Raw materials and documentation
We work only with established European raw material suppliers and keep the technical archive for every ingredient.
- Certificates of Analysis (CoA)
- product specifications
- declarations of conformity
- Safety Data Sheets (SDS)
All documentation is organized in the company archive and remains available for quality review and customer support.
Safety assessment, CPSR and PIF
Every new cosmetic product intended for the EU market must pass a formal safety assessment before launch.
We send formulas to an independent European laboratory for CPSR preparation under Regulation (EC) No 1223/2009. Only after a positive safety conclusion can the product proceed to CPNP registration and market release.
For our clients we also prepare the Product Information File (PIF) required for the cosmetics placed on the market.
Traceability and laboratory testing
Each batch is documented with a unique batch number, production date, raw material references and control parameters. Retained samples are archived for follow-up analysis when needed.
When required, products can go through microbiological testing, stability testing, challenge tests and dermatological evaluation with accredited EU laboratories.
Made in Finland
Producing cosmetics in Finland means strict EU oversight, transparent manufacturing processes and the possibility to use the Made in Finland mark when applicable.
For Acnova, quality is not only regulatory compliance. It is also the basis for customer trust, brand reputation and long-term product consistency.
